Aggies return to action at SMC Invite

DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's tennis returns from a bye week to continue their fall season at the SMC Invite hosted by St. Mary's on Oct. 26-28. 2018.

Action starts on Friday, Oct. 26, with two teams competing in Men's A Doubles, and two teams in Men's B Doubles. David Goulak and Ivan Thamma look to follow up impressive opening round victories at the ITA Northwest Regional in Seattle, Wash., while Daniel Landa and Chethan Swanson form a new team, with both teams competing in the A division. In the Men's B draw, Dariush Jalali and Arjith Jayaraman will pair up for the third time in as many tournaments, and Mitchell Iwahiro will play with partner Alex Scemanenco for the first time.

In singles, Goulak, Thamma, Iwahiro, and Swanson will take the court in Men's A, and Scemanenco, Landa, Jalali, and Jayaraman will represent the Aggies in Men's B. 

UC Davis will be competing against Big West rival Cal Poly, along with Cal, Fresno State, Holy Names, Pacific, Sacramento State, St. Mary's Santa Clara, Sonoma State, Stanford, and San Francisco.

Draws were not available at the time of this release.
